Ban oak seeds collected from different sized tree. (dbh 25-75 cms) from three localitles were analysed for starch, crude protein, fat, tannin and ash content. Crude protein, fat and ash content varied with the localities. A locality at median elevation in the altitudinal range of the species (Matasa) showed higher amount of these constituents than those at lower or higher altitudes. All the chemical constituents were highest in lowest diameter class and showed a consistent decrease with increase in diameter of trees.- Competitiveness of Major Rice Exporting Nations

The present study analyses the impact of WTO on rice export competitiveness by using Blassa's Revealed Comparative Advantage Index and White's Revealed Competitive Advantage Index in respect of Agricultural Trade and Merchandise Trade in the changing scenario of liberalization, privatization and globalization. A new technique has also been developed for the measurement of competitiveness ranking on the basis of the dictum that competitiveness is a zero sum game. The study concludes that the increasing competitiveness of Indian and Pakistani rice exports is a result of WTO implementation.References

The feeling of smell and taste coming from specific and non specific atomic structures can be utilized to analyze the nature of food, drinks, and mixture of food items. Biological nose works actively to detect the quality of foods. We, as human being can use our nose to judge the quality of food by the odor coming out of food whether it is healthy or unhealthy. But still there is probability of making a mistake to judge the quality and to categorize the food. So the researchers feel a need to design an electronic system which can judge quality of food accurately and precisely. Electronic noses are making out of strong sensors arrays to sense the smell of food products. Comparing with the other artificial olfactory and gustatory techniques, traditional electronic nose are superior in some aspects, e.g., low cost, rapid detection, and convenient operation.In this paper literature is reviewed about the sensation of smell and taste and how electronic nose is useful for food industry .Biological nose and electronic nose are compared in this paper .various sensor system used in electronic noses are also explained.Further conclusion and further scope also discussed.Keywords

In recent years, the applications based on the wireless sensor networks are growing day by day. Wireless sensor network is collection of sensor nodes. These sensor nodes monitor the physical conditions like sound, temperature, vibrations etc. The Wireless Sensor network are weak against many types of attacks. One of the main attack is Black Hole attack. The Black Hole attack in sensor nodes, it sends the false routing information but show that it has original route information and it increase the packet dropping chance and it is very hard to detect and prevent.
In this paper, a new intelligent intrusion detection system has been proposed and implemented to reduce the false alarm rate present in the existing Intrusion Detection System. The final contribution of this paper is the proposal of a new cluster and trust based routing technique in which the trust score evaluation is carried out to detect the intruders effectively in WSN.

Technology’s impact on food safety and quality is reflected in higher throughputs, increased efficiencies and superior outcomes. Electronic tongue (e-tongue) instrumental systems were designed to minimize human olfactory and taste sensory organs and are consisted of an array of sensors. Various efforts have been made by scientists to predict the sensory profile of food articles with instrumental measurement. The aim of the review here is to determine the applicability of e-tongue in food industry to replace traditional methods of sensory analysis. The intellectual property rights (IPR) are intangible in nature and gives exclusive rights to inventor or creator for their valuable invention or creation. In present scenario of globalisation, IPR is the focal point in global trade practices and livelihood across the world. These rights boost the innovative environment by giving recognition and economic benefits to creator or inventor whereas the lack of IPR awareness and its ineffective implementation may hamper the economic, technical and societal developments of nation. Hence dissemination of IPR knowledge and its appropriate implementation is utmost requirement for any nation. The present paper highlights various terms of IPR such as patents, trademarks, industrial designs, geographic indications, copyright, etc with their corresponding rules, regulations, their need and role especially pertaining to Indian context. Further, status of India’s participation in IPR related activities across the world has been discussed in brief.Keywords

Objectives: To develop mathematical model for prediction of impact toughness of friction stir welded ZE-41 magnesium alloy joints. Methods/Analysis: Friction stir welded joints were fabricated using five different tool geometries. Total 31 experiments as dictated by central composite design technique with 4 factors, 5 levels were conducted. Model was developed using data obtained from this investigation. F-Test and Student’s t-test were conducted to investigate the adequacy of model. It was found that developed model is adequate. Findings: It can be concluded from the present research that taper cylindrical tool pin produced highest impact toughness as compared with other tool pins used. Threaded cylindrical pin yielded lowest impact toughness of the joint. It was further observed that welding speed have a profound effect on impact toughness. With increment in weld speed impact toughness increased to 4.5J then decreased with further increase in welding speed. Similar trend had been followed when tool rotational speed was varied. Micrographs of stir zone also support above results. Optimum parameters for obtaining maximum toughness had been presented. Application/Improvement: A novel mathematical model useful for prediction of impact toughness for improving the weld quality, commercially useful in aircraft, automotive and consumer electronic sectors.Keywords

Care giving is a normal part of parenting. Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual disabilities have some limitations in functioning which require a long term care that exceeds the usual needs of children as they grow older. They demand some high quality of care due to their functional limitations. The high level of care required by these children can be burdensome and may impact the physical and mental health of the care givers. The study conducted on a sample of 50 mothers (25 mothers in each groups, ASD & ID). The result obtained indicates impairment in all the four domains of Quality of Life of mothers of children with ASD. The level of impairment reported in ASD group was found significantly higher than that of ID group on the basis of data interpreted by t-test. Finding also shows higher level of burden of care among the mothers of children with ASD as compared to the mothers of children with ID. These mothers display an elevated level of burden and impaired quality of life. So there is a need of awareness and support to assist this group.Keywords
